Proballer Turf provides excellent ball bounce, slip resistance, and a safe playing surface. This innovative new 14mm high-density, non-directional sports turf is designed specifically to work as basketball and netball court surfaces. It delivers excellent ball bounce and very good traction with minimal sand displacement. ProBaller is made with superior Australian-made yarn, which provides exceptional slip resistance in all weather conditions, and it can be installed over concrete, asphalt, or other dynamic surfaces such as metal.
There is a wide variety of colours and customisation available; we have our standard options, but can also fully customise to your school colours and/or NBA team colours, for example.
It’s one of our most popular choices for commercial multi-purpose outdoor courts, from school grounds to council parks, where high foot traffic and exposure to the elements demand a surface that won’t let performance drop off over time.

For basketball players to remain healthy while achieving peak performance, their bodies need three key factors from a surface. Non-slip surface, force reduction, and energy return.
In simple terms, your chosen outdoor sports court doesn’t just need to be non-slip. It also needs to absorb the force and return the energy to the athlete during competition or practice.
APT’s cushioned systems offer up to 20% impact protection. A cushioned system is like an elastic surface; this elasticity absorbs the vertical and horizontal force delivered by the athlete. Not only do our systems absorb the force, but they also return that energy to the athlete, thereby reducing fatigue and strain on joints and muscles, which improves recovery time and performance.
The improved coatings provide high slip resistance to help prevent injuries from falls, slips, and joint jarring.

We offer a range of beautiful colours for the main area and the lines. For custom colours, we can match any colour, which is great for reinforcing your school or club’s visual identity. Logos or branding can be added to surfaces and look amazing.
Our outdoor court colours are as accurate as possible. Slight variations may occur due to job site conditions, mixing proportions, and installation methods. Custom colours are available upon request.

Our outdoor court line-marking services offer a cost-effective alternative for those seeking a high-quality court without the larger investment of our ProBaller turf. We offer precise, durable, high-quality line markings for outdoor courts, using premium, weather-resistant paints to deliver clear, professional-grade markings that stand the test of time.

Court Kings is New Zealand-owned and operated, and we work nationwide, with a strong focus on the North Island, so you’re dealing with a team that lives locally and understands ground conditions and council requirements.
We build our multi-purpose sports courts using premium, long-lasting products, everything from ProBaller turf to Goalrilla hoops and accessories. We choose these brands because they hold up under heavy commercial use, not just a few backyard games each week.
Bevan Williamson brings over 15 years of artificial turf expertise across Europe, Australasia, and the Pacific, and Hayden Allen has played close to 300 professional basketball games. The team behind your installation understands performance from both the construction side and the court itself.
Plus, every quote is free, with zero obligation. There’s no pressure to commit before you know exactly what your project will involve.

Increased safety and consistent performance are the primary benefits of a dedicated sports surface. Unlike concrete driveways, our outdoor courts offer superior shock absorption and predictable ball bounce, reducing the risk of joint injuries and allowing for high-level training in a controlled environment.
Our courts support basketball, netball, and other outdoor sports, depending on the surface and layout you choose. By using multi-sport line markings and versatile surfaces like ProBaller turf, a single outdoor court can be transformed into a functional multi-use arena for the whole family or community.
Our courts are extremely durable and built to handle NZ’s heavy rainfall and intense sun. We use advanced acrylic resins and high-density polypropylene yarns that are UV-stabilised to prevent fading, cracking, or peeling, ensuring the court remains playable for over a decade.
Yes, we specialise in custom-sized courts tailored to fit your property’s dimensions. From "half-court" basketball setups to small-area multi-sport pads, we can adapt the design to turn even a modest backyard into a high-performance training space.
Yes, the basketball or netball court surface defines the "feel" of the game, specifically affecting ball rebound and player traction. A cushioned acrylic surface provides a pro-circuit feel with high grip, and our high-density turf options offer a slightly softer landing for joints and an "all-weather" playability that drains rapidly after rain.
Very little. ProBaller turf only requires an occasional brush and rinse to clear leaves and other debris. Our Laykold acrylic surfaces hold up incredibly well with a periodic clean. Compared to bare concrete or asphalt, both surfaces are built to go years without needing any real upkeep.
